Art of Chipotle is Gourmet Retailer Magazine Editor’s Choice!

“Before I even tasted this line of gourmet chipotle sauces from Pfleider Pfoods, I was drawn to the bright and whimsical, eye-popping pepper-shaped head graphics on the front of each bottle.  After tasting The Art of Chipotle sauces, I was in complete love with this funky fresh company.  My favorite was the brown sugar-based Sweet Heat Addiction, their signature sauce that’s amazing on appetizers, pizza, grilled meats, fish and eggs.  I especially enjoyed it mixed with whipped cream cheese as a zesty sweet spread.  I substituted the Smokey Red Sensation for ketchup to spice up my turkey burger and even drizzled the Crazzberry Fiesta over a ho-hum piece of chocolate cake to add a bit of berry pizzazz.  These sauces are extremely versatile, all natural and contain no preservatives.”

The Hot Sauce Blog Reviews Southwest Sunset Salsa

Tom & I go way back, having carried the Art of Chipotle line of gourmet chipotle sauces for quite some time. If you’ve never tried the Art of Chipotle line (formerly Schizophrenic Chipotle), then you’re missing out on some of the best chipotle based sauces in market today. And what sets these apart is the fact that the Art of Chipotle line up consists of gourmet sauces – the type your more apt to cook with then pour onto your food. And any recipe that calls for chipotles in adobo can be revived with the Art of Chipotle Gourmet Paste with Adobo – save yourself the time of seeding and stemming those chipotles in the can and simply add a spoonful of the Gourmet paste. It’s a simple step that will make all the difference in flavor in your final dish.

Back in July of 2006, at the NYC Fancy Food show, Tom pulled me aside and excitedly showed me his new line up of salsas. He asked me to try them out and give him a few off the cuff remarks, which I gladly did. At this point, the salsas were not yet ready for sale or mass production, but Tom assured me it was all in due time. Now, fast forward to January of 2007 – Tom made the official announcement that the salsas were now ready and a set of 4 for sampling arrived on my door a few short weeks later.

Art of Chipotle Sauces Featured in Chile Pepper Magazine

Tom Pfleider, the President of Pfleider Pfoods and his amazing gourmet chipotle sauces were featured in the April “Hot Sauce” issue of Chile Pepper Magazine.  “Our products continue to get huge reviews across the country and we are pleased to have such a prestigious publication feature us so prominently,” said Pfleider.

The Art of Chipotle sauces included in the issue included the company’s signature sauce, Sweet Heat Addiction; as well as Smokey Red Sensation and Crazzberry Fiesta.  “To feature three sauces is testimony to our hard work at creating flavors that truly define the art of using these extraordinary smoked peppers,” Pfleider stated.

Chile Pepper described Smokey Red as “Red bell pepper, dried spices and sweet creaminess help wave the chipotle flag in this smooth, thick condiment.”

Crazzberry Fiesta was described as “Very sweet, with a fresh fruit and berry flavor, this sauce has a nice undercurrent of heat and smokiness”

Chile Pepper went on to say that Sweet Heat Addiction “has a subtle smoky heat that kicks in on the late side.”
